If you find yourself in Belfast, Northern Ireland, you might want to go on a day trip at  Carrick-a-Rede – a rocky island connected to the cliffs by a rope bridge.

Once there was rope in Country Antrim, used by fisherman to link the mainland to a tiny island used for casting named Carrickarede. One of it's earliest form is that it only has one handrail, wooden slates with wide gaps in between. Fishermen used this to cross from the island with baskets of salmon.  If youre' there, you'll get specatacular view of the of Rathlin Island and Scotland. Now, it is rebuilt as wire rope and became a tourist attraction. Thankfully no one has fallen off the bridge, although some people get vertigo while crossing the bridge 🙂

So, try crossing the bridge , even if it is just for the view 😀
