View from the Top (of an Elephant)

I finally got my first elephant ride while sightseeing at the ruins of Angkor Thom! Wheee! It did cost me and my sister (Gypsygal Prime) 20 U.S. dollars (we paid 10 bucks apiece) . But I think it’s worth it. It gave me a bird’s eye view of the complex atop the elephant.

the Thom, the elephant and Us
Angkor Thom means “the great city” in Khmer and was established by one Angkor’s greatest king, Jayavarman VII. He reigned in the 12th century and came to power following the defeat of the former Khmer capital by the Chams.
